i would show u pictures i took in kl but um... the pictures are still in the camera which is in kluang and most of it is in my cousin's camera... i had gotten so lazy at taking pictures.
i was in kl to attend the wedding of a relative i had (probably) met only once in my life. but oh well, free food, free accomodation (with one of the best view of the city!) and shopping in kl, whats to lose?
overall, it was a fun trip! i got to shop!! wats not fun about that! even window shopping is fun enough! i kid i kid, window shopping isnt that great.. getting to try the stuff and BUY it is the fun part. i had to line up at forever 21's "dressing room" 3 times cuz i mis-estimated my size and i really wanted that jeans. it was all worth it!
oh, i met lots of aunties and uncles. i dont even know how they are related to me. swt. well, everyone's there just to make merry. like i said last time, the biggest family gathering is only during funerals or weddings. it was really funny to watch the aunties and uncles exaggerated expressions to almost everything. damn funny lah those aunties! and they joke about almost everything! i probably heard enough qouta of cantonese and hokkien for the next three years during that weekend. everyone was speaking in hokkien!! like OMG! only random strangers in kl was speaking in cantonese. really panick lah when everyone around me speak in hokkien and cantonese! thank god, i at least get to speak in english with the store assistants when i shop. wtf. i think it had become a habit that whenever i speak to strangers, i speak in english, chinese or not.
eh, why am i babbling like a mad woman??
oh yeah, the bridegroom's mother was extremely hospitable. really! she made sure she PERSONALLY served tea to each and everyone of us when we arrive and there was quite a number of guests at her house! ooooooooh!!! and the bridegroom's father spoke to me in english!!! very few relatives on my mum's side speak to me in english ok! damn suka! wtf.

A very interesting day in the life of a very interesting Malaysian Chinese girl.
Sense the sarcasm.
I know you all are very interested on how my day went today. Stop denying it! If not why do you seem to have the need to check my blog daily? So here it goes…
I woke up at 10 a.m. this morning which is like one whole hour before my class starts at 11a.m. and I still managed to be late for the class, nothing new there. What’s new should be: Rachel managed to be on time for classes! I should be rewarded as the student who is late for classes for the most times. Yay!
I wore this rather short top today ‘cause we were suppose to wear red for the caroling thing on campus. That was the only thing I had which was the closest shade to red. It was a maroon tee.
Sadly, I do not own any clothing item which is in red because red is just not my color. Ok ok… no, red IS my color ‘cause I have many people telling me that I look good in red but I just refuse to wear or buy any clothing item in red. I just don’t fancy it that much. I do own accessories and foot wear in red though, only because red is attention-grabbing; which is also the reason why my pencil case is a striking pink. No, I don’t fancy pink as well. And the only clothing item in pink which I have is this old pink tee. Oh yeah, another reason why my converse shoes is in red is also because in this Korean drama, the guy only wore red converse. Cant really remember which drama.
So, the whole time I was pulling and tugging at it so that my round tummy washboard flat abs wont pop out. It is also the reason why I haven’t worn that tee for a long time.
Professional ethics tutorial is quiet as usual. Actually, all my classes are quiet. Accounting students are like the most passive bunch ever! They like don’t have much to say even when lecturers asks for our opinion. Are all MALAYSIAN students like that? I am stressing on the Malaysian ‘cause we all know that Malaysian students are dependent and are “spoon-fed”.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I have been wanting to blog about this but never got around to do so ‘cause I am a VERY BUSY person, you know. Ok ok, let’s get to it. If you go to the same uni as I do, you would have noticed how clubs promote their activities right? You know the photocopied-paper-in-a-plastic-bag-stapled-to-a-string which is tied along pillars on the campus thing? Anyway, if you are not in my uni you probably won’t understand what I am talking about or HOW RIDICULOUS IT LOOKS! Seriously, I cannot believe or understand how did someone came up with such a unique idea, why such an “innovative” idea and who in the hell world owns such a cuckoo brain! Have you actually stopped and looked, while you are rushing to go class, how our campus looked like with all those photocopied-paper-in-a-plastic-bag things around? Have you noticed how excessive the photocopied-paper-in-a-plastic-bag disease had become lately? Our campus looks like a freaking underwear dhobi! Yes! That is exactly how RIDICULOUS my campus looks like! All those papers stapled to strings looks exactly like clothes drying on a line! Seriously, haven’t anyone noticed this? Oh, it looks even more disgusting when it rains. The papers just crumble into mush in the plastic bags. So, what is the point of you hanging all those photocopied paper again? I can take nicely printer banners ‘cause it’s not such a sore to the eyes but I just can’t take the photocopied-paper-in-a-plastic-bag thing. Doesn’t anyone, other than the gardeners and cleaners, on the campus takes effort to beautify it? Isn’t the management concerned about maintaining and beautifying the campus?
Oh another thing which I had been wanting to blog for quite sometime already would be the security guards using motorbikes. Is it really necessary? Why can’t they use bicycles which is so much more environmentally friendly and cost saving? Well, you don’t have to fill bicycles with petrol which pollutes the air and is costly even though the price had been reduced and maintenance is much cheaper for bicycles compared to motorbikes. Plus, it is not as if our campus is so huge that cycling around the campus would be fatal or there is any robbers/thief which the guards would have to chase around with motorbikes. It will probably even be good for the security guard’s health. So, recently the management of my uni just launched some going green project and the president is going to plant the first tree it seems. I dunno what first tree they are referring to lah… got so many tree around campus already what? How can it be the first anymore? But anyway, I would like to see the ‘green’ things that they would do. Oh, we used to have recycling bins around campus. You know the orange, green and blue ones (I can’t really remember the colors, so I may be wrong)? It turned into rubbish bins when I was in my foundation/first year and hmmm…. I wonder where those are now. And how do you have going-green project when you don’t even have the basic recycling bins? I really hope some one would bring up the matter about the guards using motorbikes. If they do need to use motorbikes, they’d better have a very good and valid reason for it!
Okay, I think this entry is getting really long. I shall skip all the interesting parts of my day and go straight to the boring part.
I had a club meeting in the evening today. And gosh! It was hard to just keep my opinions to myself! Ok, maybe I m just a really dictatorial person. Not sure if “dictatorial” is the right word but I only like it when everything goes MY way. Well, it would have been much easier if I was the president of the club but I am not, not that I want to anyway. We were discussing about the t-shirt design and I had so much to say about their design. Ok, basically, I had a different idea of what I want the club t-shirt to look like. I had to hold back a lot of what I wanted to say ‘cause I didn’t want to offend anyone especially the person who designed it, I didn’t want to waste everybody’s time cause the meeting was getting a little lengthy, I didn’t want to drown the president with too much opinion (pity the fella ‘cause quite a number of people had something to say about the designs) and I am quite new to the board so I am not familiar with everybody yet. I still voiced out some of my opinion though ‘cause as the discussion about the t-shirt went, I thought that since I am paying for it and I would be required to wear it once it is ready, so might as well it be something I would wear. Plus, I seriously and honestly think that the original design of the t-shirt is really not suitable for the club. Screw it if anyone found me too vocal and bossy, it is my first and last year in the board anyway, plus, I am not personally close with anyone of them anyway. Okay lah, the president actually quite a nice person, haha! He chats with me on msn and is really friendly. Yeah, really, I find it hard nowadays to have to shut up.
Oklah. Done d. I getting a headache d. such a long day for me today. And it is also today that I realized I am a rather vocal person. Couldn’t really shut up during both meetings I had today. Must learnt to shut up. Must learn to shut up. Must learn to shut up. Cause I am not the person chairing the meeting!!!
p/s: come hear me croak at ps at 11.50am and at clc at 1.50pm. its the caroling thing i was talking about way up there.

How to appear (extremely) fair in pictures
You see, every once in a while I get people asking me why I am so fair. Well, the reason is, dah I memang born liddat! I am so fair, sometimes when I take picture with flash, I just disappear. No, I am serious. Take a look at this:

eh, why we take picture liddat one? mal, why we so stupid one?cuz i know she'd definitely kill me if i post up this pic unedited. =D
So, all of you can now go ahead be jealous and wallow in your own pool of self pity! Hah!
But since I am such a generous and kind hearted, on top of that, FAIR person, I shall share with you some tips on how to appear (extremely) fair in pictures. Its really easy….
Okay, here’s how I look under normal room lighting:
In order to appear fairer than I already am, here’s a picture of me under normal room lighting plus a table lamp:
If the above still don’t work for you, its time to on the flash function together with the room light and table lamp:
Okay, I m done making fun of dark people for today! =D And here comes the dreaded Monday.
